|
|
A steep flat-topped volcanic island, with a diameter of 500m, important as nesting site for seabirds. In the early seventies, the original vegetation of Pisonia and Ficus trees has been removed from the top plateau by local people (Butunese) and on the fertile soil they have created a garden with bananas, cucumbers etc. Some bamboo houses are present at the northwest side which are inhabited on a temporary basis. |
