Site Description |

An area of relatively undisturbed mangrove formations backed by peatswamp forest. It is an important site for crocodile breeding, and supports a rich bird fauna and some primates.
Principal vegetation: Mangrove forest 20,000 ha. Peatswamp forest 50,000 ha. |

|
Located on the east coast of Sumatra from the southern bank of Selat Panjang, near the Sungailakar settlement, the site extends south down the coast to Tanjung Datuk in a strip approximately 10 km wide. |
