Site Description

A steep, mountainous area intended as a buffer between the Kerinci Sablat National Park and the Ketaun Valley agricultural settlement. The small swamp at the northern end is the second highest inland swamp in Sumatra. Much of it has been converted to Sawahs but what remains is of significant botanical interest.
Principal vegetation: Freshwater swamp. |
