Site Description |

This lake is probably the only basalt crater lake in Southern Sumatra. One end is shallow and contains swamp forest areas which are threatened with conversion for agricultural use by the neighboring communities. |

Site Location |
|
|
The lake lies just northwest of the town of Jepara. It is northeast of the provincial capital Bandar Lampung and east of the trans-Sumatran highway and the Branti airport. |

A pair of White-winged Wood-duck was seen on 30 June 1976. |
