Site Description

A coastal area with about 140 ha of Nypa swamp (plantation), about 40 ha of other coastal brackish water marshes/swamps and 20 ha of prawn ponds. The area is inhabited by less than 100 people. The area is important for water birds and contains a heron colony, located in very dense Nypa swamp.
Principal vegetation: Nypa fruticans. |
